  • Look for Neils as coal merchants in Glasgow Post Office Directories

  • Remember to use Folds3 not Forces War Records. The former has most of the latter and more

Ramsays and Fife Related

  • Look at Isabella Ormiston Burt [41] and her notes. There is a lot about her and he marraiged migration to Australia, children etc. There are also extensive notes about her parents and their vital events. All this could be usefully added to the Family Historian site and the blog/web site. It would take about a day to look at it all
  • From Scotland’s People look at the number of Ramsay births and marriages returned for Dalgety parish. Also include Torryburn and Dunfermline. Look at parish maps to determine neighbouring parishes
  • Download register entry copies for Barbara Beck Ramsay’s additional family members
  • Look at where BBR, FR and Jenny Mortimer etc differ in their idea of the origins of our common ancestors.

  • When did Chorlton streeet names change? Was it when Chorlton left Withington and became part of Manchester?
